Boston Old and New
This image of Boston was captured from Pier’s Park in East Boston. The 300mm lens used to create the image compressed the city to make the buildings appear to be crowding in among each other. The illustrated effect was created using a High Dynamic Range (HDR) Photographic technique. Here you see the Old North Church and the new Zakim Bridge.

Waterfire Gondola
Providence Rhode Island has a wonderful event throughout the summer called “WaterFire“. This image is processed using high dynamic range photography and I think it provides a very interesting surrealistic view up the river in Providence just after the lighting of the bonfires.
Wings Neck Light
This is the first time in 50 years that light came out of this light house.
Stairs at Wings Neck
This award winning image was my best of the best for 2010. This image was captured in November of 2010 inside the Lighthouse tower of the Wings Neck Light. The Lighthouse has been decommissioned for over 50 years and is now a summer home on Cape Cod. The image is HDR which brings out the textures. It was also created with a very small aperture setting with a wide angle 10-22mm lens.
Blue Angel 6
Flying by at 500 miles per hour, the US Navy Blue Angel took to the skies in June 2011 at the Rhode Island National Guard Air show. The drama created by these expert pilots always entertains and impresses.
Brookalino
Brookalino was the name given by the Italian immigrants for their adopted home in Brooklyn. The Brooklyn Bridge is an excellent metaphor for this bridge of Old World to New World. It is special to me since this is where my mom and grandparent started their life in this country of opportunity.
Sail Me To the Moon Banner
This image of Boston was captured in September of 2011. It is a special moment as the moon chases the sunset. As I was waiting for the right moment for the moon to fill the frame, the sailboat came into view. Serendipity.

Hot Shot
This image is the first of series of still life images focused on poking fun of sayings. Here we have “Hot Shots”. Captured in March 2013, this image was created with a light box and three off camera flashes. I focused on creating interesting shadows. This shadow looks like one large pepper created out of four small peppers.
